MUIRFIELD EH31 2BE – APRIL 2018 ALISON SCORE 8 OUT OF 10
GPS 56°02’15.9″N 2°50’20.7″W
This one is tricky to get to and at first pass is accessible on a walk around the headland from Gullane, although with a bit of local knowledge you can get there via a small local road past Greywalls Hotel and a road through the golf course takes you down to near the beach.
This was absolutely lovely secluded bay with fewer visitors even on a sunny day, shallow water and beautiful sand and I sat awhile on a driftwood log contemplating life in the sun on an April day.
I visited the main beach but there is more around the headlands to several smaller bays and beaches, a beautiful spot and definitely worth the trip.
Really worth an 8 out of 10 on the Alison scale.
